Here for you with a big heart

We are a group of distinguished, experienced, and educated work ability professionals. We are all different, but we are connected by at least one very central thing: we are passionate about helping companies by improving people's ability to work.

Kati Räfsten

Work ability management specialist

Master of Health Sciences, Certified Business Coach

"I want to be a part of making better places to work: to help every part of the organization succeed in managing work ability and work well-being."

At Emkine, I feel that I am privileged in being able to do meaningful work, helping different organizations in building and in renewal of work ability management. What could be better, than to make workplaces themselves realize their significance and potential in their own personnel’s work ability management and occupational health cooperation? In my work, I am able to make good use of my area of expertise and extensive experience with occupational health services, managerial work, my interest in the comprehensive management of work well-being, as well as my interest in supporting supervisory staff in work ability management. I believe in the goal-oriented and systematic power of working together, in which a good spirit of ‘getting things done’ is always present.

I promise you a feeling of success in work ability management. Let’s make the impossible possible together!

Helena Lehkonen

Value leadership expert

Doctor of Philosophy in Education

"I promise to familiarize you with values and their significance, so that you will succeed with greater impact in the management of your personnel by supporting their well-being."

I am interested in people and what motivates them. The most interesting is to observe in practice how values vary between different personnel groups, and how this information can be utilized in the hands-on management and development work.

Chairman of the Board

"My interest is further fuelled by one of the best hidden opportunities in working communities, namely how much the trimming of occupational health cooperation and work ability management can improve their performance and increase vitality, holding power and appeal in competitive markets."

My burden and my wealth is the endless curiosity and passion I feel for solving the problems of the human species, to improve its waddle forward. Incapacity for work and cost-inefficiencies are the big problems of our time, so I am on the edge of relevance!

It is my duty, together with my colleagues if you allow us, to remove the problem points of your occupational health cooperation and work ability management from your organization, which prevent you from achieving your own goals. I am only satisfied when you reach your goal... until the goal moves again to another place. Work ability management is an ongoing process!

To you, our future client, I promise the following: at times we too will step astray, but never when it comes to competence, desire and diligence! It is also nice with us if you like joyful, systematic, and demanding goal-oriented activities.

Hanna Heiskanen

Work ability management specialist, Occupational health nurse, Social and health sector management and development (YAMK)

I am interested in a meaningful life, according to values now and in the future in a changing operating environment. And what is interesting, is how part of that meaningful life is a meaningful working life, with a suitable amount of suction of work, with sustainable work ability.

I am around a theme that is important to me, when I get to support our client organizations in shaping work to be smoother and healthier, manage the working capacity of the personnel and define goals and cooperation models together with occupational health care. At Emkine, I have more than 80 projects behind me. My way of working is analytical but pragmatic, future-oriented, solution-oriented and inclusive. Our customers have given me feedback that, with my support, even difficult change processes progress empathetically but firmly on schedule towards goals. Based on the feedback I received, I do more than I talk: I don't promise, I do.

Leena Kreus

Working life expert

Master of Agriculture and Forestry, Work Sciences

"My dream of Finnish working life is that everyone possesses a basic function, the will and the ability to work, and that the workplace has functional processes and a good team spirit. "

I am a developer of work. One of my first jobs consisted of the responsibility of looking over the defense administration’s cleaning. In the cleaning of barracks, a transition was made from dry brushing to wet mopping in all garrisons. The unevenly distributed workload of cleaners in different parts of Finland was scaled and cleaning areas were re-distributed. Cleaning was mechanized and modernized.

With an over 30-year span of experience in work development, I want to help our clients improve their work productivity and to develop their operations by genuinely creating value to the client in the matters that are vital for their business. This creates joy of work for the client as well as for myself.

I believe, that even the most challenging problems are solvable, and that new methods are always possible to be constructed. I believe in continuous learning and the power of working together. This work is what I want to be doing until the end of my career.

I promise you business oriented work development, and improvement of productivity with a solution-minded grip.

"With my work, I want to influence a better, healthier and more productive working life."

I am excited to be able to work to increase well-being and productivity together with jobs. In this way, I myself can constantly learn and develop as a professional through cooperation. I get to do development work at Emkine that is strategy-oriented and systematic. This creates a prerequisite for good working conditions. When we improve the capabilities of employees to do their jobs well and so that they feel also well, excellent results are made possible.
In this case, the employees commit themselves for a long time. With my versatile management and operational development experience, I support our customers in comprehensive development and management of well-being at work. Effectiveness is created by formulating the necessary structures and practices in accordance with the strategy together with all key stakeholders. Doing this benefits our partners in the long term.
